Give an important goal a place in your week.

Begin with something you want to accomplish.

AQMeets is a membership programme that helps you turn that goal into practical commitments, review what happens and use what you learn to decide your next step.

Through Fractal Feedback, your weekly work stays connected to your larger priorities. Experience informs your plans, and your plans guide what you do next.

Your starting point

You have something worth working on.

Perhaps you want to develop a service, complete a creative project, strengthen a professional capability or give more consistent attention to an important responsibility.

You may already have a clear goal. Yet the week fills with other commitments, and the work you intended to do gets postponed.

When that happens repeatedly, it can be difficult to know what to change. Do you need a clearer next step? More practice? Help from someone else? A different approach?

AQMeets gives you a regular place to examine those questions and make a decision you can put into practice.

An example of the practice

Begin with a commitment you can act on.

Imagine you want to develop a new service alongside your existing client work.

“Work on the new service” leaves a lot undecided. A useful weekly commitment might be:

Draft the outline of the service and discuss it with two existing clients.

You make room for the work, carry it out and record what happened.

At your review, you have something specific to examine. Did you complete the outline? What did the conversations reveal? Was the time you allocated sufficient? What should you do next?

The next commitment follows from that experience. You might refine the offer, speak with another client or change how you protect development time.

Make a considered commitment, act, examine the result and carry the learning forward.

Fractal Feedback

Decide what needs attention.

Some problems can be addressed in the next work session. Others keep returning because a wider decision remains unresolved.

If client work repeatedly displaces your development time, moving the same task to next week may achieve little. You may need to adjust how work is delegated, reduce the scope of the project or reconsider what you can realistically take on.

Fractal Feedback connects your reviews so that these observations can inform the relevant decision. The resulting decisions then guide your next commitments.

You learn from the work while pursuing the goal.

The same approach also helps you recognise what is working, understand why it helped and use it again.

STEP 03

Review your experience and decide what follows.

You can begin applying the practice while you learn how the wider framework fits together.

Your guide

Guidance as you develop your own judgment.

AQMeets is led by John Angheli, leadership counsellor and founder of the Center for Motivation Research.

Through the programme’s teaching, workbooks and facilitated reviews, John helps members examine their experience and make considered decisions about their work. The reviews available to you depend on your membership.

Your goals. Your decisions.

You bring your goals, responsibilities and circumstances. The questions help you examine them, and the decisions remain yours.

The purpose is to help you achieve worthwhile things while strengthening your ability to direct your own work.

Before you begin

A few questions.

Do I need to reconsider my goals first?

You can begin with a goal you already intend to pursue. The reviews help you learn from working towards it. If experience later gives you a reason to reconsider your approach or priorities, you have a structure for examining that decision.

Do I need to understand the whole framework?

You can learn it through use. Begin with a current priority and the practices included in your membership.

Daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reviews address different kinds of decisions. Higher Horizons provides the wider orientation: what you hope to build, the responsibilities you carry and the standards that guide your choices.

I already plan my week. What would AQMeets add?

AQMeets provides guided questions, recurring reviews and a way to connect what you learn across different periods of work.

A weekly observation can inform a change in your method or strategy. A longer-term decision can then become a practical commitment for the coming week.

What if I miss a week?

Resume with what is true now. Review the commitments that still matter, account for changed circumstances and choose a manageable next step.

Should I take the Execution Scorecard before joining?

The scorecard is optional. It offers a way to reflect on how your recent actions relate to your intentions.
